CINEMA CRUISE AUCTION PREVIEW DAY JUNE 19, 2009

Auction day at Miller Motion in Galion, Ohio had a brief rain cloud overhead in the morning. The sky was clear by start time and temperatures hovered in the 80's the rest of the day. Dwain Peak, Bill Creswell, and Brandon Strain of Peak Auction Service, auctioned off 70 lots of classic vehicles and automobile parts as over 500 bidders registered for the event.

Vehicles lined the country roads in all directions as this one day event attracted an estimated 1500 plus. A shuttle assisted by picking people up along the road and bringing them to the location.

The Auction Feature was a 1928 Ford Model A in excellent condition, but it did not bring the most money. A 1968 Mercedes Unimog laid claim to the highest bid of the day at $12,500. The Unimog had a dump bed that could be tilted to the rear, and either side. The '28 Model A found a new home at $10,750.

1946 Chevrolet 4 door $2500 - 1951 Chevrolet Pickup $2400 - 1964 Chevrolet Corvair $2200 - 1947 Ford Pickup $2100

1949 Jeepster $2100 - 1968 Cadillac $1850 - 1951 Chevrolet $1750 - 1965 Marlin Rambler $1650.

Buyers were from Ohio, Indiana, Arizona, West Virginia, North Carolina, Michigan, Texas, and Kentucky.

Complete vehicles were not the only thing offered. A Packard engine went for $200 and a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro steering column went for $75. All lots sold with vehicles selling at bids of $250 to $12,500 and parts selling from $5 to $500.
