IS THERE A BIDDER IN THE HOUSE?
posted 22 May 2009
Located about 15 miles off Interstate I-71 between Columbus and Cleveland in Ohio, there is a barn. On June 20, bidders from all over the country will converge on this rural farm to bid on 70 vehicles and many more classic automobile engines, transmissions, and parts.
Dwain Peak, of Peak Auction Service, who will be conducting the auction said, "This is really something. There is more than cars. One lot is a thousand hubcaps, nothing real old, they start out in the '30s. But I guess that's old nowadays."
All of the vehicles and parts is a portion of an estate that belonged to a Doctor who passed away. In some of the buildings, there were racks built where vehicles were double stacked. And according to Dwain, the Doctor didn't drive them.
"It's hard telling how many folks are going to come out for this. We've had calls from Texas asking about hotels, " Dwain shared.
There are no buyer fees and it is an absolute auction. The auction is open to the public and is Saturday June 20, 2009 in Galion, Ohio. Friday June, 19 bidders can preview items from 10am-5pm.
